Perched on a rock for all to see, a large piece of river ice. I took this photo as I passed by with my team of sleddogs. A quiet day, it was snowing and nobody was on the trail. It was still. This single piece of river ice, just resting on it's rock, perfectly balanced. You could see it, or maybe not. I knew it was there and so, I was able to capture it's beauty so that you may see it too.

Zen moments are inherent to how I have lived my life. Most often through the lens of my eye and then of my camera, I have captured hundreds of moments such as this river ice, moments given to us as a gift by Mother Nature, moments that are available for a brief period for those who wish to see. These zen moments are moments of bliss that transport me to the greater Universe and sustain me in this world.
