Family is a word that implies solidity, a rock solid foundation, a place to go home to within the comfort of love and friendship, a place to grow out of, a place to grow away from only to return, a place to remember and to hang on to the echoes never leaving one's ears, one's heart. Family........

When Someone Does Something Extraordinary

This beautiful poem was written by Dawn, she is a good friend to my sister, Gaby. In about two months, Gaby and I will be together once again. It has been 11 years since we have held each other. With dedication to our friendship and honoring one another over the years, Dawn wrote this poem for us. What an amazing friend she must be to take time to put into words just how much we have missed each other and how wonderful our coming togethet will be.

I haven't seen you for so long, it makes me sad to say. So now I've the chance to come, I cannot wait to stay. You're such a special sister, Daughter and Auntie too. No one in the world means more, I'm sure you know that's true. So I'll see you in September, When your special birthday's here. And we'll make memories to remember, Through all the coming years. See you soon then precious, Will count the days till then. Thanks, for being my sister, And my extra Special Friend.

Nothing Is Permanent

The loss of a relationship that has been a big part of your life. What happens along the way, the journey of friendship and the feeling of unconditional love that turns inside out because of perceptions that live inside our minds. What turns unconditional love into 'conditional' love? We are merely humans following our path, learning to be humble, to be students of life and love. As the Dalai Lama conveys through the Four Noble Truths.. " that what brings you joy today, brings you sorrow tomorrow. " I quote from a recent piece on Humility and Soul Consciousness " Humble people are never critical of others. They simply accept people for what they are. They never attempt to force their will on others. They live life recognizing that everyone has a right to his own opinions and viewpoints. Instead of criticizing, they live their lives using truth and reason in their dealings with others. They are always willing to be last, and they accept life as a series of experiences and conditions that they need to deal with selflessly in order to continue to learn higher truths." Every challenge has it's lessons and blessings. I'm on my path.

Humility

Humility helps us create soul consciousness. When living your life so as to avoid hurting others, holding in your heart the best of intentions, then you will be living with humility. Compassion, patience and respect for others. Humility helps us remain clear, free from a foggy mind that stands in the way of life without ego. It is not a weakness, instead, a great strength.

Self

Self love is the key to loving others. If you cannot love who you are, have no judgement, have no forgiveness of self, then it is impossible to be whole in the presence of others.

Our true source of love comes from within, from source, from spirit. By accepting who you are, only then can your love be pure and bright so that it may light the path for others.

We must heal from the illusion of not being worthy, for we have life and as long as we have life to live, then we are worthy of being all that we know we can be.

Connect to your master teacher guide through meditation. Your master teacher guide is responsible for your spiritual evolution bringing love and light into the dark.

The Spirit Of Oneness

Great universal vision, the spirit of oneness. Compassion and connection with humanity. A mission to form positive, conscious relationships leaving self, 'ego' behind and embracing the other for all that they are and not what we wish they were. Let there be no judgement. We are all one. Parts of me are present in you and parts of you are present in me.

The market place of life needs more compassion now than ever before. Our behavior needs to be holistic and present. We have a sense of responsibility towards each other. We are indeed, all aspect os oneness.

A Zen Moment

Perched on a rock for all to see, a large piece of river ice. I took this photo as I passed by with my team of sleddogs. A quiet day, it was snowing and nobody was on the trail. It was still. This single piece of river ice, just resting on it's rock, perfectly balanced. You could see it, or maybe not. I knew it was there and so, I was able to capture it's beauty so that you may see it too.
